WHAT IS FAMODE
- FAMODE is a sparkling NEW Modelling Industry community-which only launched at the end of April 2008. So there aren’t many people on here at the moment but we are growing VERY fast, so please be patient!!
- Just to clarify - we are NOT an Agency nor are we a talent scout working for anybody. We don’t take commission and we don’t charge a fee. We just provide you a FREE networking platform on which you can use to help you in this industry.
- We are not like other big social network players eg: Facebook or Model Mayhem etc..In the sense that not everyone/anyone can just sign up. We are on the look out for quality not just quantity! We are especially for you lot that need to meet other specific Creatives in the Modelling industry. Oh and even though FAMODE is British, (yes we are UK based and proud!) we are still an international .COM site which is for everyone no matter where you are based!
- We also assess you once you have registered to make sure only genuine people join us. This can take from 24hours-1 week! If we feel you haven’t made the standards, we will simply notify you, then remove you, so please do not be offended, it may just mean that we feel your are not appropriate for this sector of Modelling.
- Because we are new, there may be some problems or technical hitches, but we are working round the clock to fix these things and add fabulous new features for you to use. Any problems/feedback, just email us at: enquiries@famode.com
- Famode is mainly aimed at the FASHION/COMMERCIAL Modelling Industry Pros and Newbies however we also invite anyone else interested in other forms of Modelling/Creative industry sectors such as: Dancers, Actors, Musicians and Fashion Designers. All we ask when uploading photos - is Please No:
- Adult/Erotic stuff
- Glamour stuff fine - but full frontal and blatant tacky nudity- NO. We DO know the difference.
- Goth/Emo stuff
- Hardcore Fetish shots
- Bedroom Wannabes - shots done in your bedrooms etc or with your mates!
If you do try to submit stuff in the forbidden categories, you may find yourself being removed/denied- you have been warned!! We are not trying to offend, just limit these areas at the requests of our members. - Famode is VERY secure - due to the fact that we have lots of Models on here. Anybody contacting you will have to friend request you first. This way you have the choice to deny them accessing your profile or contacting you first.
- Public status is offered on your profiles. This does 1 main thing:
- Lists you in the open search style "Search Members" section so that other members can find you.
- Famode allows you up to 50 photos in your portfolio, but just to give you the freedom of choice, we have given you 3 styles of portfolios to choose from. Just go into your “Edit My Portfolio” button, on your profile and then choose from: Silver Style 1, Or Gold style 1 or 2. By choosing Silver style 1, you will be allowed up to 8 photos. By choosing Gold Style 1 or 2, you will be allowed up to 50 photos with 2 different lay outs. It just means that if you are new to this scene, and you have no wish to upload 50 shots, then you can just choose Silver style 1. It’s entirely up to you!

Alternatively you can contact the AMA (See our Advice and Info pages) who has a site dedicated to helping new Modelling industry talent. - We understand that Famode’s layout is slightly different to some of our competitors- but this is the reason for creating Famode. We wanted to be slightly different! So please be constructive with your criticism if you are unhappy or unsure about what we do or how we do it.
